四、优秀大学英语作文范例分析
(一)结构分析
开头部分
以一篇关于“大学生职业选择”的作文为例,开头可能会采用提出问题的方式来吸引读者的注意力,如“With the increasing number of college graduates every year, what should they consider when choosing a career?”这种开头直接点明主题,引发读者思考,为下文的论述做铺垫。或者开头也可能引用数据或现象,如“According to a recent survey, more than 60% of college students are confused about their future career.”然后引出文章的主题。开头部分一般要简洁明了,能够快速进入主题,并且要与文章的整体内容紧密相关。
中间论述部分
在中间论述部分,会有明确的分论点来支持文章的主题。例如对于“大学生职业选择”这个主题,分论点可能包括个人兴趣、职业前景、社会需求等方面。在论述每个分论点时,会有具体的论据。比如在论述个人兴趣这个分论点时,可能会说“Interest is the best teacher. If a person is interested in a certain field, he or she will be more motivated to learn and work in that area. For example, Steve Jobs was passionate about technology and design, which led him to create the great Apple products.”这里通过引用名人名言和举例的方式来论证分论点,使论述更加有说服力。分论点之间要有一定的逻辑性,通常可以按照重要性、相关性等顺序进行排列。
结尾部分
结尾部分一般会对全文进行总结,再次强调文章的主题。例如在“大学生职业选择”的作文中,结尾可能会说“In conclusion, when college students choose a career, they should take into account their personal interests, career prospects and social needs. Only in this way can they find a suitable career and achieve their own value.”结尾还可能会提出展望或者建议,如“Hopefully, more college students can make wise career choices and contribute to the development of society.”
(二)语言表达分析
词汇运用
在优秀的大学英语作文中,词汇的运用较为丰富和准确。不会总是使用一些简单、常见的词汇,而是会适当地使用一些高级词汇或者短语。例如,用“significant”代替“important”,用“consequently”代替“so”。同时,会注意词汇的搭配,如“make a contribution to”“play an important role in”等。这些准确而丰富的词汇运用能够提升文章的质量。
句型多样性
优秀作文中句型多样,既有简单句,也有复杂句。简单句能够简洁明了地表达基本意思,如“I like reading.”复杂句则能使文章的表达更加丰富和深入,如定语从句“The book which I bought yesterday is very interesting.”或者状语从句“When I was young, I liked to play football.”还会使用一些特殊的句型结构,如倒装句“Only in this way can we solve the problem.”、强调句“It is our efforts that will make a difference.”句型的多样性能够避免文章的单调,展示作者良好的英语语言能力。
